What is the Transaction Queue?

On MultiversX, when you send a transaction (EGLD transfer, staking, NFT mint, etc.), it doesn’t get added to a block instantly. It first enters the queue / mempool.

  • Validators pick transactions from this queue based on gas price (higher fee = faster confirmation).
  • MultiversX’s sharded architecture allows very fast processing — most transactions clear in under 30 seconds.
  • During high network activity, the queue can grow temporarily.

Why Monitor the Queue?

  • See if your transaction is stuck
  • Track large whale movements before they are confirmed
  • Understand current network congestion
  • Analyze gas fee trends

Queue Tips for Users

  • Higher Gas Fee = Faster inclusion during busy times
  • Most transactions confirm within 6–30 seconds
  • You can cancel or speed up pending transactions in xPortal wallet
  • Large staking or DeFi transactions may take slightly longer
